Thanks Bruce - got the link from DKos. My mom and sister live in Eastern Kentucky so I have a passing interest in KY politics. Happy you're not a UK fan, but as a Georgetown alum I can't like the Cardinals either! Thanks for the poems and essays.
Cheers,

I saw your link in a comment on DailyKos and it said you were in Louisville. I worked a long time ago with a guy named Maples who hailed from Kentucky. I just wondered if you had a cousin, uncle, or other relation named Fred living in Maryland....

Hi Bruce -
We met you in the Pub in CT just before the Big East Game. It was a pleasure talking with you. Just checking out your website.

Now, I am sure glad to find your site. I always see a lot of political messages on the internet. However when you talk with Ray Crider, Joe Phelps (who are secret idols of mine) I know you are in the right crowd. Keep up the great work. See ya. Amen?
(reply from Bruce) Larry, thanks for the kind comments! Honored to be mentioned in same sentence as Ray and Joe. Come back and comment on some posts!

Good thoughts, Bruce. I appreciate your passion for God, church, life, sports. My prayer for you is that someday you'll see the light and convert to the UT with the Putt-Putt color orange, to the UT with the burnt orange of the sunset-- the team God cheers for: the University of Texas.

Bruce, I'm glad to see you have a new toy to play with. Keep on keeping on!

Hey Bruce! Great to see your web page.
You nailed the Democratic dilemma. I will be happy with either candidate but I do feel that Obama has been anointed by those who rush to support him because of his race - I go to church with many of those folks - and the media who give him a pass on the details. I think your assessment on electability is right on also.
My other anguish is about the Kentucky Democratic nominee for U S Senate. While no one has said this, it seems to me that the KDP and the new governor have misjudged the willingness of many of us to accept their Republican supporting millionaire as the appropriate candidate. I don't yet know the rest of the field but I need to find someone else that I feel is ethical and viable against McConnell. Not an easy task.
Enough ranting.
