Why Can't Local Leaders Get This?

It's a pretty simple proposition, really:

  • Build the East End bridge first;
  • Redo the traffic study to see if it makes sense to do 8664 in order to give yourself political cover;
  • Then do 8664;
  • Achieve this:

And for anyone who didn't see it, the original 8664 video:

Anyone who reads this blog or sees the back of my car knows that I support 8664. For any politician who can't see the attraction of 8664, though, do the "reasonable" thing and get that East End bridge built. Then you can be "fiscally responsible" and support 8664 as the "only reasonable alternative."
